Dave Aftandilian Love the organic funk and spacey madness on Spaceseer’s side of this split! Not sounds I usually associate with bacteria and mushrooms but maybe I am not listening closely enough…. Thumos’s tracks hit me just as well but much heavier, like pronouncements of impending doom and cryptic wisdom from the gods. Putting the two sides together offers a mind-expanding portrait of heaven and earth and the delicate balance between the two that it’s up to us to maintain.

bmurator A perfect addition to "The Course of Empire"! Awesome set of songs that are just as crushing as the original. Thanks Thumos! Highly recommended!!! Favorite track: Sophrosyne.
Back Off Warchild. Seriously.

Back Off Warchild. Seriously. A nice unexpected surprise. I’m always game for a b-sides collection and this does not disappoint. I hope these two keep working together. Favorite track: Sophrosyne.

Thumos and spaceseer want to wish a happy one year anniversary to our collaborative album The Course of Empire. We released it last year on America’s Independence Day as commentary on the state of our beloved country’s decline and sadly things have regressed even more since then. In just the last few weeks alone our illegitimate “Supreme” Court has rolled back the rights of many of our fellow citizens and dehumanized our already marginalized minorities. We will always stand with and recognize the struggles of women, people of color, the LGBTQ community, the working and lower classes, and all others the government bigots seek to keep under their heels. While we don’t have much to offer other than support and solidarity, we would like to share with you some unreleased tracks to further cement our stance on the current situation. We’ve titled this Tyrants at the Forum. Some of these are leftover ideas from The Course of Empire and that theme is the most appropriate way to frame our view of the modern United States. Our nation grows ever more divided and it’s heartbreaking to witness. We must stand together and support one another, especially those in need. Take care of each other and let’s hope we can celebrate the next Independence Day with more hope of the future.
